A centre-forward with technical intelligence and the ability to drop into midfield to facilitate play, which was his value at AC Milan before the move. De Ketelaere is excellent at finding pockets and rotating play, and he's a composed finisher in the box. However, his physicality doesn't match elite number nines — he can be bullied off the ball, and his lack of explosive power means he struggles as a pure target man in aerial situations.
