CountryDenmark ClubAjax PositionMidfielder Born8 February 2000 **** “A true Ajax player.” That is how Jensen is being described by his former coaches in Denmark. And, as luck would have it, he joined the Dutch club from FC Copenhagen this summer, costing €3m according to media reports. The FC Copenhagen youth coach Sune Smith-Nielsen describes Jensen as follows: “He is tactically clever, both offensively and defensively; hardworking, equally good with both his left and right foot, he is fast, with an incredible mental strength and he is a huge winner. He is dedicated and serious and works hard to improve both what he is already good at as well as the bad bits.” No pressure, then … Jensen compares himself to Christian Eriksen and it is easy to see why: he plays in the same position as the Tottenham player, he is good with both feet and scores quite a lot of goals for a midfielder. According to his former coach, however, there is one main difference: he is a good dribbler as well. Jensen’s record for the national youth teams is encouraging too: eight goals in 20 games. **[Thomas Lund Hansen](https://twitter.com/ThomasLund71?lang=en)** **October 2018 update** Is still waiting for his chance with the first team in Amsterdam. He has had a lot of game time for the youth teams and the reserves and surely it is only a question of time before he is selected for a match-day squad. **October 2019 update** Has not managed to break into the first team in Amsterdam but is continuing to play regularly for the Under-21s and has made his debut for Denmark’s Under-21s. **October 2020 update** Still waiting for his breakthrough in Amsterdam but started the season well for Jong Ajax, scoring in his first game of the campaign after a knee injury. **October 2021 update** A loan spell at Nordsjælland did the youngster the world of good, playing 18 top-flight games, and he now has two Eredivisie appearances to his name. **September 2022 update** Having failed to break into the Ajax first team on his return to Amsterdam he joined Rosenborg in Norway in March 2022 and has been a regular starter there.
